I love finding and trying out new beauty products and I wanted to share my 7 favorite beauty products from winter that I’ll be adding to my spring routine. The biggest issue for me during winter is keeping my skin from getting dry and dehydrated. I add as many moisture rich products I can. As the weather warms up we can sometimes forget that out skin needs some extra love and care.
#1 favorite beauty products – Jergens, wet skin moisturizer
This product is like nothing I have ever tried before and it has quickly become a staple in my beauty routine. I have to admit that in the past I have been very lazy with moisturizing my body. It always just seemed like such a hassle to wait and let the moisturizer soak in before getting changed. Thats why I love this wet skin moisturizer! You can apply it before you even step out of the shower and then you pat yourself dry and you are ready to get dressed! Not only is it easy to apply but my skin feels so soft and moisturized afterwards and it keeps feeling this way all day! I picked this product up from Target and it is $5.99 USD.
#2 favorite beauty products – Laneige, Lip Sleeping Mask
I think this little pot of magic has to be my all time favorite beauty product ever! I discovered this lip sleeping mask when I was living in Singapore and I think I have used it every day since. I use it every night before bed and I actually can’t sleep now if I don’t put it on. This lip mask creates a thick layer over the lips that moisturizes all night and creates a barrier from outside drying elements. Before discovering this product I always used to get dry chapped lips especially in the winter but now my lips stay soft, hydrated and plump all year long. I also recommend taking it with you when you fly. It is the perfect product to stop your lips from drying out from the harsh conditions on a plane. The best news…. they stock this product at Sephora!
#3 favorite beauty products – Neutrogena Deep Clean, Cream Cleanser
I recently started using this product after looking to change up my skin care cleansing routine and it has now become a staple for my everyday skin care. This cleanser is oil free and I think that’s why I have had such wonderful results since using it. It has really helped get rid of any little oil pimples and bumps by deep cleaning and has given my skin such a smooth and even complexion. This cleanser also has a tingly sensation when you use it, which I love for the mornings to wake up and freshen my skin. For such a great price of $4.19 USD at Target, I will definitely continue to use it throughout spring.
#4 favorite beauty products – Etude House, Face Blur
Etude House is one of my favorite Korean beauty companies that I have been religiously using and recommending to my friends for years now. This is one of my favorite products that they make because it does just as the name suggests. It creates a soft look over the skin and blurrs your pores creating a great base for your foundation. It also has SPF 33 which I think is so important in any skin care routine. I use this light pink cream like a primer each morning under my makeup to smooth out my skin or sometimes even by itself for those makeup free days. I purchase this item from Amazon or the Etude House website and usually stock up a few at a time because it is a total staple in my routine that I will continue this Spring.
#5 favorite beauty products – Mario Badescu, Facial Spray.
I started using this aloe, herbs and rosewater spray this past winter and I have to say I am obsessed. Never have I used a product that makes me feel so revived, refreshed and ready to take on the world as I do when I spritz this amazing smelling mist. I really don’t know what it is or how a beauty product can have so much emotional power but it really does for me. If I’m feeling tired and sluggish it really does the trick to perk me back up and refresh my skin. This is another goodie to take and use when flying. I was also crazy about anything rose scented this past winter and it’s an obsession that looks like continued this spring (Rose scents for spring… very fitting lol). You can find this products in many stores including, Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, Ulta.
#6 favorite beauty products – Christophe Robin, Cleansing Purifying Scrub With Sea Salt.
This is no ordinary sea salt scrub. It is a scrub for detoxing and soothing your scalp and I’m so glad I found it this winter. So lets get real here. A lot of us suffer from dandruff and product build up on the scalp, myself included. But for some reason it’s a topic people don’t feel comfortable sharing and talking about. Well I am here to pass on a great secret to scalp care and that is shampoo scrubs. It really helps to work and lift oil and product build up from your scalp and wash away dry flaky skin by exfoliating. I found this product at Sephora and while it has a bit of a higher price point I really think it is worth the investment.
#7 favorite beauty products – Unrefined Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is my secret weapon for beautiful, healthy skin. I use it every single day in many, many ways. During the dry winter months I really double up on my coconut oil usage. I use coconut oil to remove my eye makeup every night, as a DIY over night hair mask, and as a lash serum to help them grow. But my favorite thing to use coconut oil for is as a night time moisturizer that I use all over my face and neck. It is so hydrating and moisturizing and makes my skin feel so soft. Some people think that using an oil on your skin just makes it more oily but it actually does the opposite. Using the right kind of oil can help to control facial sebum and bring your daily shine down to a minimum. Another great thing is that you can find coconut oil at most grocery stores but I recommend getting one that is unrefined and organic.
All of these products helped get me through the dry winter weather and I have had such great results that I have added them all to my weekly beauty routine. Make sure you share if you have tried or are going to try any of these products in the comments below.
